FILA's Newwest line of running shoes: Skele-toes, Swerve and Flow

Since 1911, FILA traces its roots from Biella, a province set at the foot of the Italian Alps. This small time brand, unknown to many, participates and acts on corporate social responsibility.

At the recently concluded 2012 FILA Polo Cup, project “500 for 500” was launched by FILA President Butch Albert to help Typhoon Sendong victims once again by donating 500 pesos to 500 families for every purchase of Skele-Toes.

Skele-Toes is FILA’s latest line of revolutionary active footwear that is fast raising many eyebrows and causing the curious to utter #whattheheckisthat? For us at FILA, it’s simply a shoe that changes the game.

Running as a Passion

I have been running since I was a little kid. My Dad use to take me and my sister along the railway near our home and just let us run in the wide stretch of the place. There are times that we would see who runs the fastest and would end up getting a burger meal at Jollibee :) Ever since then, Running has been my sport. I don't play ball games, I only want to run. When I was in high school, I join the track and field games in our church sports fest and would often get the second place for our church. When I was in college, I joined the track and field team of my course and would compete every year for the sports fest. I run fast that's why I am their sprinter.

Now that I am already working, though I don't have any track and field teams to join, I still continue running. I usually run after work in Ultra, it’s very near my office and I can leave my things aside the oval safely.

Next Run is for Home

My first run for the year was the Century Run wherein I was able to talk to Derek and asked him what he thinks about running. Running has always been my sport (because im afraid of the ball and i cant swim) and my release of stress. Now, it is not only a sport but also an activity even for the whole family to enjoy. People run and join races because they are now health conscious and its a really cheap exercise.

This coming March 21, 2010 - Run for Home is back!

The Ayala-Globe Run for Home 2010 is a charity fun run that aims to raise funds for the beneficiaries of Habitat for Humanity. Last year, runners and health enthusiast was able to raise more than 1M for the Habitat for Humanity. It's a chance for us to help and a rewarding way to get healthy. Plus get to update your race status instantly via the ChampionChip!
