SKYFALL World Premier in London

Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, producers of the latest James Bond film “Skyfall,” announced today, along with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment, that His Royal Highness Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall have graciously agreed to attend the World Premiere of the twenty-third 007 adventure on Tuesday, 23rd October 2012 at The Royal Albert Hall in London.

At the request of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales the premiere will benefit the charities that support former and serving members of the three intelligence agencies (the Secret Intelligence Service, the Security Service and GCHQ). His Royal Highness is Royal Patron of the Intelligence Services.

The premiere will be attended by the film’s leading actors Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Bérénice Marlohe, Albert Finney and Ben Whishaw, and the director Sam Mendes. The movie will be released in the UK and internationally from 26th October by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Sony Pictures Releasing.

Wilson and Broccoli commented, 'We are thrilled His Royal Highness Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall have agreed to attend the World Premiere of our latest James Bond film, and are pleased this event will help raise funds to support The Prince’s chosen charities.’

007 Celebrates 50 Years on Film with "Global James Bond Day" Oct 5

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise on the anniversary of “Dr. No,” which enjoyed its world film premiere in London on October 5, 1962, and in anticipation of the worldwide release of the 23rd James Bond adventure “Skyfall,” Albert R. Broccoli’s EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment announced today that October 5, 2012 will be Global James Bond Day, a day-long series of events for Bond fans around the world.

Columbia Pictures has just released a “Skyfall” video blog that pays tribute to London, which is featured prominently in the new James Bond film. The featurette can be viewed here.



The “vlog” features “Skyfall” director Sam Mendes, castmembers Daniel Craig and Dame Judi Dench explaining the importance of London in the film. Joining Craig and Dench in the cast are Javier Bardem, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw and Bérénice Marlohe.

In the film, James Bond’s loyalty to M (Dench) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
“Skyfall” will begin its roll-out in the Philippines on Oct. 31st 2012.

007 "Skyfall" Producers Confirm Ben Whishaw to Play Q

Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, producers of SKYFALL™, the 23rd James Bond adventure, confirmed today that the character of Q will be making a welcome return to the Bond franchise and the role will be played by Ben Whishaw.

Whishaw becomes the fourth actor to play Bond’s quartermaster affectionately known as Q. The role began with Peter Burton as Major Boothroyd in Dr. No, followed by Desmond Llewelyn (in 17 Bond films between 1963-1999), and John Cleese (who appeared as Q’s assistant, R, in The World is Not Enough and was later promoted to Q in Die Another Day). Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli commented, “It’s a real thrill to confirm the return of Q in SKYFALL™ played by the enormously talented Ben Whishaw. We are delighted to have this beloved character back in the series.”

Columbia Pictures has just revealed the teaser poster for the highly anticipated James Bond film, “Skyfall” – the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time. The poster launch teases the global launch of the first trailer, which unveils in the afternoon of May 21st in the Philippines.

Daniel Craig once again stars as the British super spy, his third Bond movie in a row coming off “Quantum of Solace” and “Casino Royale.”

Joining Craig in the cast are Javier Bardem, Dame Judi Dench, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw and Bérénice Marlohe.

SKYFALL'S Cast Arrives on Location in ISTANBUL

Production in Istanbul Marks the 3rd Time in the 50-Year History of the James Bond Franchise That the City Has Served As a Backdrop.

Daniel Craig and cast and filmmakers of SKYFALL, the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time, have arrived in Istanbul, Turkey. Their arrival marks the third time a James Bond adventure has filmed in the historic city. Previously, Istanbul served as a backdrop for scenes in FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE and THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH.

SKYFALL locations in Turkey include Adana, Fethiye and Istanbul. At a photo call and press conference today to mark the occasion were producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, director Sam Mendes, and cast members Daniel Craig, Naomie Harris, Bérénice Marlohe, and Ola Rapace.
