I am a SUPERBOD

I sped through the 3KM run! That's what the back dropped says. Haha!

Just this morning a lot of people joined "The Run of the Century". This event includes not only runners and fitness enthusiasts but also top celebrities like Derek Ramsey, Rian Ramos, Jon Avila, Rafael Rosel, Iza Calzado and many more.

Century Tuna, the country’s leading canned tuna brand, leads the way to health by encouraging more people to be part of this year’s biggest celebration of health and fitness.
And through events like the Superbods Run, Century Tuna is bringing the concept of living healthy within easy reach of more people. Century Tuna has joined forces with the country’s top running coach, Rio de la Cruz of RunRio, to mount the most exciting running event of the year. As the first leg of the RunRio Trilogy, the Superbods Run features heart-pounding race events and fun-filled activities that are sure to inspire everyone to move towards a healthy lifestyle.

The Superbods Run is more than just a race as runners enjoyed race packs and loot bags with free Century Tuna products and other treats such as Nature Valley energy bars. Besides from the runners that enjoyed the race and freebies, UNICEF and WWF will also get donations for every label dropped , as the event's fundraising activity was supported too.
Century Tuna will have a raffle-for-a-cause, where participants who present as many Century Tuna labels at the drop-off areas at registration venues and at the event itself get a chance to win big prizes.

It was indeed a whole morning of fun and healthy lifestyle!

Pangyayari

Walang nagkataon, walang di sinasadya. Lahat ng bagay ay may dahilan, lahat ng bagay ay may kahulugan.

I just had to let it off my chest.

Nestle Fitness - Day !

This morning I woke up feeling nervous not for Pacquiao but for myself. Haha! This is the first day that I will be challenging myself to be have a fab figure. (gudlak to me!)

This is how it goes:

The 14day meal plan. I will be eating the Nestle Fitness Cereal for 14 days for breakfast and replacing either lunch or dinner meal. "This meal plan is designed to maximize the benefits of NESTLÉ FITNESSE whole grain cereal on your figure. For best results replace breakfast and one main meal for 14 days with a cereal such as NESTLÉ FITNESSE. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetable and low-fat carbohydrate-rich foods, and remember to exercise."

Show off after 14 days. I would need your help by voting our team, Vanity Brats, (hindi ako nagpangalan niyan, haha!) to win the Ultimate Wardrobe. So guys, vote now!

Okay, so far so good. I was able to go thru my first day without letting myself die of hunger. Haha! I am not really a cereal person but when I tasted Nestle Fitness cereal, I liked it and decided that I can do this! Haha! Will get ready now for tomorrow.

PS. Congrats Manny. I hope I can say Congrats to myself too after 14days!

Stay tuned!

Running for a cause

Running is the only sport that i grew up loving.

I run when I'm not in the mood. I run when I'm stressed. I run even when I don't feel like running. I run and I run until I can't run anymore.

Nike provides an avenue for runners around the world to converge and run in one day through the Nike+ Human Race 10K. By synching their runs onto www.nikeplus.com.ph, runners at any place in the world can compare statistics with other runners by syncing their respective Sportbands any time on the 24th of October.

Just because Manila is not an official race city doesn’t mean Filipinos won’t get to enjoy the fun adrenalin of a physical race. Nike has partnered with Subic International Marathon to provide Human Race participants a venue to run together.

The virtual Nike+ Human Race 2009 will be part of the Subic International Marathon on October 24, 2009, 4 PM at Remy Field. It will be a sundown run to allow people to drive to Subic in the morning and get home after the race. ALL Participants of the 10K leg who are registered as a Nike+ member will get a Human Race shirt and a limited edition Finisher’s Bracelet to certify their accomplishment of running with the world.

There will be laptops set-up at the finish line for those who haven’t registered yet so they can register on the spot. Members can also sync their runs right after the race.

Registration will be through the Subic International Marathon. No late fees will be charged for the Nike+ Human Race 10K leg. For details of the registration, click here.

Ninoy and Cory's Love Story will continue in heaven

I was up late last night watching the Cory tribute on television. The news was all over the world, even the leaders of other countries gave their own message of sympathy and comfort to Tita Cory’s family and remembered her as an advocate of peace, justice and democracy. But what struck me the most on the tribute was the long lost love story of Ninoy to Cory. I cried on some instance, because it was then that it actually realized and dawned on me that former Pres. Corazon Aquino is now gone. I love the poem that Ninoy wrote when he was in jail for their 19th wedding anniversary. His admration for Cory is not only when he was with her but it was always there, with him.
Below is the poem, which was also arranged by Jose Mari Chan.

I Have Fallen In Love With The Same Woman Three Times
(the poem in full)

I have fallen in love
With the same woman three times
In a day spanning nineteen years
Of tearful joys and joyful tears

I loved her first when she was young
Enchanting, brilliant, middle-strung
Vibrant, fragrant, eternally new
Cool, invigorating as the morning dew.

Desperate, she shared, quieted my despairs
Hopeful, she fanned the fires of my hopes
Lavished me with days of bliss and peace,
Endless, perpetual days of fond memories.

She is my hope; I do not wish to realize
Hence my hope; forever green, eternal prize
My life transcending life, my ultimate quest
Dream of my life for whom Ill spare no rest.

I fell in love again
With the same woman the second time
When first she bore her child and mine
The first fruit of our union and our love.

The pains and anguish of motherhood she braved
Loved her children, their love she deservedly craved
Times were she hung on the very brink of death,
Unflinchingly fulfilling her mission to procreate.

In politics I plunged, she was always by my side,
Steadfast, uncomplaining, helping to turn the tide,
Amidst hardship, her rare courage would not relent
She was my secret weapon, the source of my strength.

The world was my concern, our home her domain,
The people mine, the children hers to maintain,
So it was in those eighteen years and a day
Till I was detained, forced in prison to stay.

Suddenly she became our sole support
Wellspring of hope, source of comfort
On her shoulders fell the burden of life
She emerged our captain in the sea of strife.

I fell in love again
With the same woman the third time
Looming from the battle, undaunted, unafraid,
Calm composed, she is God's lovely maid.

It has been a year of many disappointments
Endless dark nights, long days of sad lament,
Of grave doubts, frustrations, bitter desolations,
Of privations, untold indignities, humiliations.

Dreams became nightmares; hopes, despair.
Rally to freedoms call, no one will dare.
Future is obscured, life has lost its meaning,
The tunnel is long, were only at the beginning.

Leaders I admired, whose advice I sought
Became fallen idols, their souls were bought,
Their conscience they bartered for soft convenience,
Due to despicable cowardice, theyve lost their patience.

Leaders became dealers, begging for part of the spoils,
Forgetting the value, the essence of the hottest toil,
Paralyzed be fear, they joined the amoral dictator,
Defending, waving the bloody flag of the new oppressor.

The pillars of society became the props of tyranny,
Be realistic, they urged, if not for safety, for money.
It is useless to resist, the tyrant is too strong,
Yet aware, with their help the tyranny will prolong.

Mother Pilipinas weeps, her noble sons are gone,
Her land of the morning, is now of the setting sun,
Back to her dungeon in chains shes been returned;
For all her sacrifices, this is what she earned.

The night is cold and dark, there are no stars,
Our prisons are full, our souls wrinkled with scars,
Afflicted, persecuted, struck down but not crushed,
How soon will this blight be erased by Allahs brush?

My only escape is to cling to the woman of my dreams
Who gave me a life full of love, a love full of life,
She is my urge to live, my sole motivation to survive,
She taught me not only to dream, but to make dreams alive.

Fight on! She says: Let not the guiltless ghost depart.
Your pains, our people know are caused by a thousand darts,
But be assuaged, remember the Filipino, his story, his past,
Soon, very soon, the tyrant will choke in his greedy power lust!
