“ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE” Reveals Wacky Before and After Posters

Disney has just shared the wacky, before-and-after payoff posters of “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day,” the first live-action film adaptation of Judith Viorst’s 1972 illustrated children’s classic.

Steve Carell (“The Way, Way Back,” “Little Miss Sunshine” ) and Jennifer Garner (“Dallas Buyers Club, “Juno”) star as Alexander’s upbeat parents. The veteran performers are joined in the film by a trio of young talents that includes 16-year-old Dylan Minnette (“Lost,” “Prisoners”) as Alexander’s older brother, Anthony; 15-year-old Kerris Dorsey (“Moneyball”) as sister Emily; and 12-year-old Australian native Ed Oxenbould (Oz TV’s “Puberty Blues”), who makes his big-screen feature debut as the film’s title character, Alexander.

Disney’s “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” follows the exploits of 11-year-old Alexander (Oxenbould) as he experiences the most terrible and horrible day of his young life—a day that begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by one calamity after another. But when Alexander tells his upbeat family about the misadventures of his disastrous day, he finds little sympathy and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him. He soon learns that he’s not alone when his mom (Garner), dad (Carell), brother (Minnette) and sister (Dorsey) all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Anyone who says there is no such thing as a bad day just hasn't had one.

Opening across the Philippines on Oct. 15, 2014, “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International through Columbia Pictures.

CAMERON DIAZ Leaves Inhibitions Behind in Comedy “SEX TAPE”

She has starred in more films that have grossed more than $100 million internationally than any other actress. “The Mask.” “There's Something About Mary.” “Charlie's Angels.” “Shrek.” “The Green Hornet.” “Bad Teacher.” These are just a few of Cameron Diaz's global blockbusters, and now she re-teams with her “Bad Teacher” co-star, Jason Segel, and director, Jake Kasdan, in the outrageous new comedy, “Sex Tape.”

In the film, Jay (Segel) and Annie (Diaz) are a married couple still very much in love, but ten years and two kids have cooled the passion. To get it back, they decide – why not? – to make a video of themselves trying out every position in The Joy of Sex in one marathon three-hour session. It seems like a great idea, until they discover that their most private video has gone public. In a panic, they begin a wild night of adventure – tracking down leads, roping in friends, duping Annie’s boss – all to reclaim their video, their reputation, their sanity, and, most importantly, their marriage.Ultimately, much of the execution is about the actors who play the parts, and both Jason and Cameron have this deep, inherent honesty to what they do.”

He previously starred with Cameron Diaz in director Jake Kasdan’s hit comedy “Bad Teacher,” which made over $200 million worldwide. Now, Jason Segel (“The Muppets,” TV's “How I Met Your Mother”) reunite with Diaz and director Kasdan to bring bigger laughs in Columbia Pictures' scandalous comedy “Sex Tape.”

Support Cast Enlivens Comic Madness of “SEX TAPE”

Joining Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel in Columbia Pictures' new comedy “Sex Tape” are co-stars Rob Lowe (TV's “Parks and Recreation”), Rob Corddry (“Warm Bodies”) and Ellie Kemper (TV's “The Office”).

In a panic, they begin a wild night of adventure – tracking down leads, roping in friends, duping Annie’s boss – all to reclaim their video, their reputation, their sanity, and, most importantly, their marriage.

 Rob Corddry and Ellie Kemper
Jay and Annie's first stop is the home of their closest friends, Robby and Tess (Corddry and Kemper), who become their accomplices in tracking down the remaining devices.

“The scene when Annie and Jay come over to Robby and Tess’s house to suss out if they know about the sex tape was so much fun to shoot,” says Kemper. “It was a wonderful game that the four of us played, with Annie and Jay reading Robby and Tess’s sheepishness, as if they were trying to hide something. The misunderstanding and awkwardness before the truth comes out was really fun to play.”

“It turns out that this evening is Robby and Tess’s 12th wedding anniversary, so they’re eager to do something besides hang around and watch TV,” continues Corddry. “They are just so intrigued by the whole thing that when they get the opportunity to help out by insinuating themselves in the adventure,” he chuckles, “they are thrilled.”
Of course, Robby finds a way to make the situation even more uncomfortable. “My character is pretty delighted from moment one,” he says. “At first, he has this anticipation – and then he has great admiration for Jay’s endurance and for Annie overall. He becomes a great fan of her work.”

 Rob Lowe
As if it wasn’t mortifying enough to have to face their friends, Jay and Annie also come to realize that their entire future may be at risk. Annie’s pastime – recording her thoughts as a wife and mother on her blog – could be about to hit the big time if the multinational toy company Piper Brothers decides to purchase it. The decision rests with the mild-mannered, family-values CEO, Hank Rosenbaum (Lowe), who’s supposed to be reviewing the blog this weekend on an iPad that Annie has graciously supplied.

“In their madness, Jay and Annie rush out the door in the hysteria of ‘How do we get this thing back?’” Diaz explains. “They show up on Hank’s doorstep, without any plan or explanation of why they’re there – they just need to find that iPad.”

And Annie and Jay will stop at nothing to find it. “So while Jay is ransacking my house,” says Rob Lowe, who plays Hank, “Hank co-opts Annie into his very surprising and unbelievably bizarre world that no one, including she, would ever see coming—which is why I wanted to play this character, along with the fact that the script made me laugh out loud. I didn’t want to play an uber-smoothie, good-looking CEO charm bomb; that’s been done. Instead, I’d describe Hank as ‘hail fellow well met’ – a Silicon Valley power dweeb with a secret.”

“Hank could have been a more brash and aggressive character, but Rob did something unexpected and made him into this upbeat, spirited guy with a really complex life who and is, ah, dealing with some issues,” says Diaz. “He has a buoyancy that Annie understands and is drawn to—they have an amazing night together.”

Opening across the Philippines on August 13, 2014, “Sex Tape” is distributed by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International.

“SEX TAPE” A Movie About a Movie They Don't Want You To See

“Annie and Jay are a married couple who are ten years down the road. They have two kids and they find themselves in that part of the relationship where they’re not doing their best to keep it alive. They have a very happy marriage, but like a lot of couples, there’s just no time to have sex,” says Cameron Diaz, who re-teams with her “Bad Teacher” co-star, Jason Segel, in Columbia Pictures' outrageous new comedy “Sex Tape.”

“So Annie comes up with this idea – let’s make a sex tape. It’ll be exciting, it’ll be fun, and then we’ll erase it.”
“They film it on their iPad to watch once and – theoretically – erase it,” says Segel. “But Jay doesn’t erase it right away. And then there’s a cloud malfunction resulting from Jay’s use of a new app. Now, there are a bunch of people who should not have the sex tape who have the sex tape.”

Girl Power in “THE OTHER WOMAN”

The ultimate Girls Night Out comedy movie, “The Other Woman” stars a powerhouse cast of women led by Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, Kate Upton and Nicki Minaj.  In the movie, a woman learns that she’s part of a love triangle, so she teams up with the spurned wife in order to exact revenge on the cheating husband.

An unlikely friendship is developed between three women to bring down a cheating man, but ultimately become “the weirdest (and best) friends ever.”   United by getting even, they ultimately discover it’s not about getting back at the guy - it’s about sticking together, set in the scenic and aspirational backdrop of The Hamptons in New York and Cayman Islands.

Dying to get to the bottom of things with their cheating man played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau,  the fashion is an equally to-die-for must haves designed by Patricia Field, one of the world’s foremost costume designers who also dressed the lead stars in “Sex and the City.”

“22 JUMP STREET” Gets a Teaser Poster

Columbia Pictures and MGM have just revealed the teaser poster of “22 Jump Street,” the sequel to the 2012 action-comedy blockbuster “21 Jump Street.”

“22 Jump Street” reunites Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as they return to their roles as undercover cops Schmidt and Jenko; they are also re-teaming with 21 Jump Street producer Neal H. Moritz ("Fast and Furious" franchise) and directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” upcoming “The LEGO Movie”). Alongside Hill and Tatum, Ice Cube reprises his role as Captain Dickson.
After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don't have to just crack the case - they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them.

Neal H. Moritz produces through the Original Film banner, along with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. Executive producers are Brian Bell, Tania Landau, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Reid Carolin, and Stephen J. Cannell. The screenplay is by Michael Bacall (21 Jump Street), Oren Uziel and Rodney Rothman, from a story by Michael Bacall & Jonah Hill, based on the television series "21 Jump Street" created by Patrick Hasburgh & Stephen J. Cannell. The production films in New Orleans and Puerto Rico.

Opening across the Philippines in June 18, 2014, “22 Jump Street” is distributed by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International.

Meet the Nooglers of THE INTERNSHIP

Both trying to catch up with the digital world, Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn did not look far for reference in the tech-comedy "The Internship." Instead, admittedly they drew from their own experience how it's like to swim in the digital age.

“This was not a difficult role to prepare for.  I don't know that much about computers, only in the past few years, I discovered how to work the internet,” says Wilson.  “And Vince had to be one of the last people in the world to get a cell phone, so he might be even further behind than me.We’re both trying to catch up with the digital world.”

Confronted with that world’s lightning-fast pace, Billy and Nick must somehow excel at Google amidst an army of today's breed of geeks and super-achievers.

Up and coming young star Dylan O’Brien portrays Stuart, a Noogler who is too cool for school. “Stuart is the cynical one,” says O’Brien, who recently landed the central role in 20th Century Fox’s thriller "The Maze Runner." "He doesn’t want anything to do with the life around him. At the beginning, he is very much only involved in his technology,” says O’Brien. “Bill and Nick teach Stuart to live amongst the world and everyone around him.”

One Noogler with a keen disinterest in Billy and Nick (apart from his quest to humiliate them) is Graham.  Everyone loves a juicy antagonist, and Graham is as opportunistic, if not downright mean, as they get. “He is the kid in class who is the know-it-all," says Wilson. “Graham is the evil intern who is trying to sabotage their plans,” says Max Minghella, who portrays Graham.

Holding her own against Graham, as well as her own teammates, Neha Patel, played by Tiya Sircar, is a closeted nice girl with a deceptive naughty streak.  “Neha tends to say things that make people raise their eyebrows,” explains Sircar.  “She says some pretty crazy things, but it’s all talk.  Neha is actually a good, studious girl." Like her counterparts, Neha, is displeased when the team is saddled with the technologically inept salesmen.  “The younger members of the team feel like they are working with two dead weights,” she points out.

Another teammate of Nick and Billy’s is Yo-Yo Santos, played by (Fil-Am) Tobit Raphael in his film debut.  Yo-Yo is an anxiety-riddled perfectionist and a dutiful son. “He has a very oppressive Asian mother who wants him to succeed and wants him to have that perfect job,” says Raphael. “And he takes out a lot of it on himself.” Through Yo-Yo’s relationship with Billy and Nick, he conquers his inner demons to emerge as a confident young man.

The filmmakers selected the young actors who would reflect the generational divide, embody the Google personae, and possess a comedic constitution that complements Vaughn’s and Wilson’s improvisational dexterity.

“The Internship" is also about these two generations melding and the culture of Google.  We wanted a supporting cast that adds strength to the duo at the center,”says Vaughn.

Take a peek into the world of Google when "THE INTERNSHIP" opens August 14 in theaters from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.
