Today's Google Logo is in commemoration of Lester William Polsfuss, aka Les Paul. He was an American Jazz and country guitarist, song writer and inventor, hence the guitar strings intervactive logo of google :) He was a pioneer in the development of the solid-bodyelectric guitar which "made the sound of rock and roll possible according to wikipedia.
