KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE International Trailer 2

From Matthew Vaughn, director of “X-Men: First Class” comes a new set of spy heroes to save the world in “Kingsman: The Secret Service.”  Starring Colin Firth, Michael Caine, Samuel L. Jackson and Taron Egerton, this latest espionage movie is based on the comic book “The Secret Service” by Dave Gibbons and Mark Millar.

In the latest trailer of the movie, Colin Firth plays suave veteran Kingsman spy Harry Hart as he introduces Eggsy (Egerton) into the world of secret service.  In one scene where Eggsy’s street enemies interrupt them in a bar, Harry teaches the juveniles that “Manners Maketh A Man” and walks away from the fracas completely unruffled, surprised Eggsy – thinking that Harry is just an old friend of his dad. It will just be a matter of time until Eggsy, an unruly yet promising young teen, will become fully immersed in the Secret Service as he is recruited for a training program to make him an ultimate spy.

Colin Firth's Success in "The King's Speech"

Colin Firth's wife, Livia, doesn't believe his Best Actor win at last February's Oscars ceremony will change their life.

The 50-year-old star picked up the coveted Best Actor statue for playing a British monarch with a stammering problem in “The King's Speech,” and despite Firth's triumph, his wife insists they will continue to lead a normal life.
Livia says, "We're not moving to Hollywood, we're going back home and he's still the man I married. He'll still put the bins out and leave his socks on the floor. It's just now he has an Oscar and that is amazing. Our plan is to rest, go home, be happy. And we'll be back next year when Colin will present an award."
For his part, Firth reveals he felt the British public's support when he won the Best Actor Oscar. He shares he forgot about the speech he had planned when he took to the stage to accept the accolade but says the backing of his countrymen helped him through. He relates, "I actually wrote a speech and forgot it. And that was when it came to me, that support at home. I felt it - it was very important to me."

The King's Speech to Open in Manila this May

I am so excited to watch the film that was nominated for seven Golden Globes, won Best Actor - Drama, received 14 BAFTA nominations, the most of any film, won seven, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Firth, and Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress for Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter. The film was also nominated for 12 Academy Awards, the most of any film that year, and ended up winning four, all in major categories: Best Picture, Best Director for Tom Hooper, Best Actor for Firth and Best Original Screenplay for David Seidler.

After worldwide acclaim since its American debut last November, The Weinstein Company's “The King's Speech” will finally make its Philippine run starting on May 11, exclusively at Ayala Malls Cinemas (Glorietta 4, Greenbelt 3 and Trinoma).
The toast of last February's Academy Awards, “The King's Speech” won four major Oscars including Best Picture, Best Director (Tom Hooper), Best Actor (Colin Firth) and Best Original Screenplay (David Seidler), while cast members Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham-Carter earned nominations in supporting actor categories.
Based on the true story of King George VI, “The King's Speech” follows the Royal Monarch's quest to find his voice. In the film, after the death of his father King George V (Michael Gambon) and the scandalous abdication of Prince Edward VII's (Guy Pearce), Prince Albert (Firth) who has suffered from a debilitating speech impediment all his life, is suddenly crowned King George VI of England.
With his country on the brink of war and in desperate need of a leader, his wife, Elizabeth (Bonham Carter), the future Queen Mother, arranges for her husband to see an eccentric speech therapist, Lionel Logue (Rush). After a rough start, the two delve into an unorthodox course of treatment and eventually form an unbreakable bond.
With the support of Logue, his family, his government and Winston Churchill (Timothy Spall), the King will overcome his stammer and deliver a radio-address that inspires his people and unites them in battle.
