Sucker Punch Movie Review

“Sucker Punch” is an epic action fantasy that takes us into the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, she is free to go where her mind takes her, and her incredible adventures blur the lines between what’s real and what is imaginary.

A young girl is institutionalized by her abusive stepfather. Retreating to an alternative reality as a coping strategy, she envisions a plan which will help her escape from the mental facility.

One must not rely on the trailer to know the movie. The trailer is much more than the movie, you will really be unprepared. You will be unprepared for the the unexpected twists in the story. I like how the movie builds up and how the reality is replaced with the cool visuals of Babydoll's imagination. ( It would be great though if babydoll's dance was shown) The movie appeals to the sensible adult and those who like fantasy and action at the same time. The girl power of the five girls is awesome too. They played their part well in the real world and even in the fantasy world.

Awesome visuals, too bad I didn't see in in 3D. The visuals could have been more awesome. Dark and dreary as the other Synder Films. The ending though is not something I have expected. I won't give in any spoilers, go see it for yourself!

Sucker Punch is directed by Zack Synder and is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
