Black Swan Movie Review

Nina is a featured dancer in the New York City Ballet who finds herself locked in a web of competitive intrigue with a new rival at the company .

Black Swan is not your typical Natalie Portman movie, I repeat, Black Swan is not your typical Natalie Portman movie. The beginning of the film already shows how dark the movie is. But you will be excited to weave in with the story as this psychological thriller shows you what psycotics are capable of doing with their symptoms. The plot takes you to the world of ballet, shows you the good and bad side of it too. The director brilliantly thought of how to show us a disturbing yet very powerful emotion and passion a person can take. I have never seen Natalie Portman with a character like this before, she is brilliant and really into her character. I can only imagine the preparation she's gone into both physically and emotionally for the role. She did very very well. Even Mila Kankunis, it was so natural for her to play Lily, effortless. Black Swan overall has earned a high rating from me, minus the sensual girl-to-girl scenes.

Now Showing Black Swan, in your fave theatres. Directed by Darren Aronofsky and distributed by Fox Searchlight Pictures.
