Running as a Passion
I have been running since I was a little kid. My Dad use to take me and my sister along the railway near our home and just let us run in the wide stretch of the place. There are times that we would see who runs the fastest and would end up getting a burger meal at Jollibee :) Ever since then, Running has been my sport. I don't play ball games, I only want to run. When I was in high school, I join the track and field games in our church sports fest and would often get the second place for our church. When I was in college, I joined the track and field team of my course and would compete every year for the sports fest. I run fast that's why I am their sprinter.
Now that I am already working, though I don't have any track and field teams to join, I still continue running. I usually run after work in Ultra, it’s very near my office and I can leave my things aside the oval safely.

Green Lantern Movie Review
In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan. Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris, if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax... he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.
The thing about movies and comics is, you don't exactly get in the movies what you read. Ofcourse, it would be so boring if what you read is the only thing that you will see. Green Lantern is one of those comics turned flicks. I did not read the comics and i am not a fan too but i loved the movie, for all those who did not read the comics, when you watch the movie, you will already know what the story is all about. The story if fairly simple and is not that complex. Even though it is an action packed movie, it's very entertaining. On the cast side, I did not feel a connection between Reynolds and Lively though. But they both did a great act portraying their characters. The special effects is a must see, with your Green Will Power you can almost do anything! There is definitely something to look forward too after this movie!
Green Lantern is distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

Mr. Popper's Penguin Movie Review
Jim Carrey stars anew at his comic best in the hilarious and heartfelt family film “Mr. Popper’s Penguins” based on the beloved children’s book of the same title by Richard andFlorence Atwater. Carrey plays Thom Popper, a workaholic New York businessman who has neglected the woman he loves and his children, in order to pursue his real estate career with a relentless drive. His life is suddenly and dramatically turned around when six penguins are delivered to his apartment and he is forced to become their full-time caretaker. They are undeniably cute but inevitably cause chaos, gradually showing him what is really important in life.
This heartwarming movie is actually perfect for Father's Day. Though the movie is not that faithful to the original children's book, the movie still was able to impart the lessons to it's viewers. The story is very entertaining for the whole family. It's funny and at the same time amusing for all ages. Jim Carrey once again appeared in the movie screen with his funny antics in a heartwarming type of movie. Director Mark Waters did a wonderful direction from the cast even unto the penguins! The use of penguins in teaching a lesson to someone is something new to many of us. Trust me you'll love the penguins! Must see movie for the whole family!
Mr. Popper's Penguins is distributed by 20th Century Fox and is NOW SHOWING across all cinemas.

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS Movie Review
“X-Men: First Class” refracts to the time when Charles Xavier aka Professor X who can control minds and Erik Lensherr aka Magneto who has the power to control magnetism are close friends who have started to discover their powers the first time. They began as closest of friends working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new) to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. Made to work together in a forthcoming globally critical event, a rift between them ensued in the process. Thus began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-MEN that puts an end to their friendship, marking the beginning of their lifelong rivalry.
X-MEN is one of the cartoons that I grew up watching. When we were kids, we use to portray mutants with powers and i am always Storm. I am not a fan of the comics and I actually did not read it when i was a kid, but that did not stop me from liking X-MEN. I loved the movie! This is the flashback type, where in we have watched what already happened and now we are treated to something we did not know long before. This prequel takes us back to how and where it all started. James McAvoy (Charles) and Michael Fassbender (Erik) did a great job portraying the first class origins of X-MEN. Matthew Vaughn's direction is remarkable. The fast paced movie built a hight tech and action packed first class movie for all ages. The visuals is worth mentioning too. The special effects went very well with other X-MEN movies. The mutants powers are very much appreciated thru the effects. Don't miss the chance to watch the first class movie of the year!
“X-Men First Class” is a 20th Century Fox film to be distributed by Warner Bros. in Phil. cinemas.

Mr. Popper's Penguin NOW SHOWING!
From the hugely successful family-comedy “Ace Ventura” films, Jim Carrey tends to animals once again in the heartwarming “Mr. Popper’s Penguins.”
Jim Carrey stars as Thom Popper in the live-action comedy event whose chilly relationship with his family heats up after he inherits six adorable, lovable and mischievous penguins. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, young Tommy Popper looks forward to the moments when, on his tiptoes to reach a ham radio in his bedroom, he can talk to his world-traveling father. Years later, Tommy is now Mr. Popper, a highly successful real estate developer in Manhattan. Amicably divorced from Amanda (Carla Gugino), with two children (Madeline Carroll and Maxwell Perry Cotton) he sees on alternate weekends, Mr. Popper lives the life of luxury in his ultra-modern Park Avenue apartment and is well on his way to becoming partner at his prestigious firm. That is, until the morning a final gift from Popper’s late father, a souvenir from Antarctica, arrives in a crate at Popper’s front door.
“Mr. Popper’s Penguins,” says Jim Carrey, is a movie that “stands out because it’s like nothing else out there. And I still get to be me, kind of crazy and fun and edgy.” Indeed, the film returns Carrey to the comedy style – and movie character – that catapulted him to global superstardom. And Carrey couldn’t be happier about it. “I wanted to do a movie that families are going to remember,” he explains. “Some people resist working with children and animals, for fear of being upstaged. But I love capturing the spark of innocence. And what is better than animals – penguins, in our case – and children to bring that out in us?”
While casting the role of Mr. Popper, director Mark Waters and producer John Davis learned something rather surprising about Hollywood’s top talent. “I found out that actors and comedians love penguins,” Davis says. The producer found the perfect “Popper” combination of talents in Jim Carrey, the hugely successful star of such films as “The Truman Show,” “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective,” and “Bruce Almighty.” “Jim is a really talented physical comedian, but also an actor who’s able to generate a lot of heart,” Davis notes.
“Luckily, Jim read the script, and was immediately excited by it. And he’s also a huge lover of penguins,” says Waters. That’s putting it mildly. “These penguins are insanely beautiful,” Carrey exclaims. “They are incredible creatures. There are few animals that make you feel love – that strike that kind of chord. It’s really difficult to be unhappy about a penguin. That’s one of the reasons I did this movie. Penguins are a kind of obsession with me. They are puppies, times ten!”
“Working with Jim is incredibly illuminating and fun,” remembers Waters. “Jim is much more than a master of comedic invention; he also has a rare kind of emotional accessibility. When we’re working on emotional scenes, his ideas are just as good as his comedic ideas.”
“Mr. Popper’s Penguins” opens June 17 in theaters nationwide from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros. Visit 20th Century Fox (Philippines) on Facebook and on www.youtube.com/20thcenturyfoxph for promos and latest clips.

Dallas Mavericks 2011 NBA Champion, Dirk Nowitzki 2011 MVP
Congratulations Dallas Mavericks for winning Game Six of the 2011 NBA Finals at American Airlines Arena on June 12, 2011 in Miami, Florida.
Last 2006 Miami won the title against Dallas with score 4-2. This year the Dallas won the title with score 4-2. Awesome right? Haha. It has been an emotional win for the team. I have watched only game 4 and 5 and I really saw teamwork in the team. During game 6, Dirk did not play good but that did not stop the team from winning the game. Jason Kidd, JJ Barea and Jason Terry stepped up and helped the team bag the title.
German Power Forward, Dirk Nowitzki of Dallas Mavericks won the 2011 MVP of NBA Finals for his great help and contribution to the team for winning the 2011 NBA Champion. Not even flu nor injury stopped Dirk in leading his team to their 1st NBA Championship title.
Great team. Good Job. Nice Game.

“X-MEN: FIRST CLASS” EXCELS AT P71 MILLION MARK IN PHILS.
I have been watching X-Men since I was little and it's the only comic cartoon that I loved watching then. I'm fond of the characters and their super powers too! I remember making my own name and my own super power..
PRESS RELEASE:

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 will all end on July 14, 2011!
Ten years and seven movies later, the series based on J.K. Rowling's epic tale of the boy wizard comes to an end with the eighth film, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2.” The seventh book, which finds Potter and his trusty friends in all-out war against the evil Lord Voldemort for the salvation of the non-magical and wizarding worlds, was split into two films.
The first half, which came out on November last year, has earned $285 million at the U.S. box office, $900 million worldwide. The second film comes out July 14. The countdown to the "Harry Potter" finale just got faster with Warner Bros. big reveal of the first trailer of the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2".
Warner has released a Special Content Trailer containing retrospective elements including charming footage from Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson’s initial screen test during auditions for the first film as well as other fantastic moments with our heroes from subsequent films but focuses mainly on “Deathly Hallows – Part 2.”
