The best job in the world

I read article online a few months back about the best job in the world. It entices the person to apply because of its "simple" job description.

The "island caretaker" will be expected to stroll the white sands, soak up the sun, snorkel the reef, "maybe clean the pool" -- and report to a global audience via weekly blogs, photo diaries and video updates.

Simple, "write"?

I totally forgot about it, and just recently they picked out the guy with the best job in the world.

"Ben Southall, 34, beat nearly 35,000 applicants from around the world for the dream, assignment to swim, to explore and relax, on Hamilton Island in the Great Barrier Reef, for six months while writing a blog to promote the area."

Lucky man.

Im just amazed.

Neverfails

Two days ago, our Global IT sent an email about a Mail Exchange Schedule Maintenance. Its something that i always delete whenever i received one coz, i just dont care. Haha! I dont know why, but for this particular email, i took the time to read it and i find it so amusing that there is a system that is named Neverfails.

The problem: There will be a short outage in our mail system. The Solution: Neverfails - a system that allows automatic routing to other mail systems.

That is the for the technology, for the internet world, for the online universe.

What is for our own reality? It there such system that allows automatic routing of problems?

YES. There is.

The problem: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." - Romans 3:23 The solution: "For God so love the world that He gave his only Son, that who ever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16
This solution applies to our daily lives. We are sinners. We need God. We need Jesus.

Why I hate and love JOLLIBEE at the same time

I’m on a 1-10pm shift this week, I eat before I go to the office and for my merienda I buy something at gateway or cubao, as I pass there everyday. Yesterday, my taste buds craved for Jolly Hotdog sandwich. Luckily, I will pass by Jollibee Farmers, so no hassle there ( I thought) so at around lunch time I bought 1 jolly hotdog sandwich and left.
I didn’t open the sandwich until 730pm, when my tummy called for it. As I open the styro, the melted cheese and ketchup greeted me. I was actually considering of heating it, when suddenly something caught my eye. The picture below shows what is tattoed on my jolly hotdog bread.

Yes, its mold. Sabi ni Khaye, “kung ayaw mo ako nalang kakain” Sabi ko naman isa lang naman at maliit so kakainin ko nalang kesa si khaye kumain, walang pupuntahan pag iinarte ko – gutom lang. Haha. BUT! Wait there’s more! When I was about to remove the molded part, there I see.. a twin of the mold. Magkalayo sila ng onti, theyr like “kambal sa Uma” haha!

After I saw the kambal sa tinapay ko, I decided that its payback time. I will not tolerate such uncleanliness, sure thing hindi nakakamatay ang molds when you eat it but given the health problems that we are facing right now I wouldn’t want to risk it. I went back to Jollibee Farmers, its two lrt station away from my office. Kung kasi after shift ko eh hindi ko na ito maabutan pang bukas, so I spent 24p for that. When I arrived at Jollibee, my first few words were, “Sinong manager on duty niyo?” (Mejo not-so-friendly-tone yan) pero ayoko rin naman kasi magmaganda, so when the manager faced me I told him that I will be returning the product that I bought that afternoon. He went inside inspected it then went back to me and apologize. He told me that they were not able to check the bread, its kahapon pa daw, but the bread they have that moment eh bago na daw lahat. I asked him, “so you’re always giving bread na hindi fresh?” to which he contested, “No mam, hindi lang po naman na check. Sorry po.” I asked, “So, ibabalik niyo ba yung payment ko or papalitan niyo nalang?” So I gave him my order and upuan na ako dahil sabi naman niya eh ibibigay niya nalang sa akin. After a few minutes dumating na siya dala ang take out ko, 1 ice craze, 1 large fries, and 1 spaghetti, to which I asked, “ magkano po lahat?” sabay abot ng bayad.
Haha!
So ayun. I hate and love Jollibee at the same time. My 42p Jolly Hotdog was replaced by 1 large fries and 1 jolly spaghetti =)
