Tomorrow is the highly anticipated ELECTION DAY. The streets are already filled with campaign posters and commercial of candidates have been in constant since the national campaign period started. The limelight has been on who to vote tomorrow, May 10, 2010. But what about HOW TO VOTE?
For the first time in the country, an automated voting system will be used by registered voters for the upcoming elections. A mock election conducted by COMELEC showed that some voters did not know where and how to cast their ballots. Efforts from various sectors like on-air commercials are being made to be able to reach out to the voters in introducing it - and KRISPY KREME is one of them.
KRISPY KREME devised a way to help spread awareness on how to vote on May 10, 2010. When you go to any of their stores you will be handed a sample ballot as their order sheets, so when you order you just shade the oval of the doughnut and drink of your choice and viola you're done! "This will help them prepare for the real, automated voting system." Mark Gamboa, Marketing Manager of Krispy Kreme said. So when you vote on May 10, its just like ordering doughnuts, but instead of food you'll see candidates names.
Other than sharing the knowledge, the mock ballot Krispy Kreme that was created will also encourage people to actually exercise their right to vote. Krispy Kreme also produced limited edition Krispy Kreme VOTE 2010 doughtnuts that will be available from May 8-10.
