iACADEMY, one of the leading Information and Communications Technology and business college in the country today together with WACOM, the leading manufacturer of graphics tablets and pens launches the 2nd Annual Character Design Contest.
Being the only college in the Philippines that offers Bachelor of Science degree in Animation, iAcademy aims to tap budding animation artists from high schools in and around Metro Manila and offer them a chance to study under a unique curriculum developed by academics and industry professionals.
iACADEMY uses the cutting-edge technology of the WACOM Cintiq Tablet for Animation subjects and has been the company’s authorized education partner for almost a year. WACOM is one of the largest graphics tablet producers, and is very popular with artists, graphic designers, architects, and cartoonists, who commonly cite it as an industry standard.
The contest aims to provide venue for amateur artists to showcase their drawing skills and to promote Animation as a career option to high school students.
